Notes
Let's try it again then. Notes.
There is always a first. My first today was to find my friend furious about not being able to find her way in a city she had never even seen before. And then I realised, definitely a first as well, that I found myself furious because she would not let me help her. What is it with people. Why do we rather shout at the world before we accept a helping hand? And why can't we accept that some people might not want to be helped?
I had a second, two. I that very sense of its double meaning. In one tiny little second, which was truly a complete second, and nothing tiny about it, this city I was mentioning, hit me. It did what it had promised for so long, in the dark. It glowed.
We arrived at Prague at about twenty past eight, tonight, and, admittedly, it took us a while to find the hotel, despite navigation and maps. But then, driving over a bridge in the rapidly falling darkness, the city's silhouette presented itself to us doused in pure gold.
There we were, on the middle of the bridge, stopping the car, taking in that breathtaking view.
Definitely the right way.
